Repairing holes in a wall often require a “hot patch” in the drywall. After cutting a plug and peeling away excess rock, put spackle or mud around the hole. Once the patch is in place, smooth over the repaired area, feathering the edges to blend into the wall. Once dry, sand the patch, texture the surface to match the wall, prime and paint.
