A U.S. Army sergeant presents an American flag to Nevada Veterans Service Director and retired U.S. Army Col. Kat Miller in honor of U.S. Army Lt. Col. Harriet M. Hardin West Waddy at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Friday, May 24. Waddy was an African-American woman who served in World War II and the Korean War. She died in 1999 with no surviving family.
