Though the name implies that the Coffee Cup cafĂ© is best known for its hot mugs, caffeine took a back seat to good ol’ H2O during the filming of a commercial April 6 for the Southern Nevada Water Authority.
The commercial stars Robert Renner, executive director of the Denver-based Water Research Foundation, a national leader in water-quality research.

The organizers of the 48th Annual Art in the Park expect to have a strong event this weekend despite the continuing uncertainty of the economy.
The event will have 312 artist vendors this year, a nearly 10 percent increase in booth reservations from last year. Those numbers do not include the 15 food vendors, a number that stays the same year to year.
“(The economy) has not affected us this year,” the event’s community arts manager Wendy

Patrons are seen walking around the food vendors during last year's Art in the Park. Artist booth bookings are up nearly 10 percent from last year. Between 80,000 and 100,000 visitors are expected.
Adams said. “Last year I noticed it was down.”
Single booths run $425 for the weekend, while a double booth is $850. Food vendor booths start at $1,650, Adams said.
