The Boulder City girls volleyball team achieved its early season goal of returning to state.
Two of the Lady Eagles have now been recognized as being among the top volleyball players in Class 3A in Nevada.
Senior Emily Boyster was named to the all-state first team as a middle blocker and sophomore Avalon Frantz was named to the second team as an opposite hitter.
Boulder City lost in the state semifinals in Reno to Dayton, 3-0, on Nov. 12. The Lady Eagles won the 3A Southern League championship a week earlier with a grueling five-set victory over league rival Virgin Valley.
The team finished the season 24-12.
The all-state honors were selected by the 3A coaches and published Thursday in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
