Many people tend to overlook the Kolob Canyons section of Zion National Park in favor of its main area of the park, but it is well worth spending some time there. Located in the extreme northwestern area of the park, it boasts the trailheads for several hikes varying in difficulty and duration. Some are just short jaunts; others can be done as backpacks. But one of the most interesting is a half-day excursion up the Middle Fork of Taylor Creek.
