Seven Boulder City wrestlers won their Southern League championship matches on Feb. 11 — five by pins — as Team Boulder advanced a record 18 wrestlers to the state tournament this weekend at Cox Pavilion at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

The 3A state tournament begins tomorrow, Friday, at 9 a.m., with the opening round, followed by the second round on Saturday at 9 a.m.

The championship finals are Saturday at 4 p.m. for Classes 3A-2A-1A on three mats at center stage, at 4 p.m. The Las Vegas-based Ultimate Fighting Championship is a cosponsor and several UFC champions are scheduled to attend and present awards.
