BCHS football places six on all-league team, Huxford named Lineman of the Year.

The Boulder City Eagles had six players named to the Class 3A All-Southern League football first team, led by senior Bleu Huxford who was named Lineman of the Year.

The senior Huxford was named as a first-team lineman selection for both offense and defense.

Also named to the first team were running back Joe Woodbury, defensive tackle James Morgan, linebacker Frankie Badgley, punter Austin Hyde and kicker Keenan Sharp-Bryant.

The Eagles placed five players on the second team including Woodbury for kick returner.

Lineman Kyle Erickson made both offense and defense second team as a linemen, while Jack LaMarca was recognized as a wide receiver and defensive back.

Colton Schultz and Tyler Washburn were named to the squad as a linebacker and defensive back, respectively.

Boulder City finished the season 4-6, losing both games in the league to Virgin Valley and state runner-up Moapa Valley.

Moapa Valley’s wide receiver Casen Lewis was named Offensive Player of the Year and coach Brent Lewis was recognized as Coach of the Year.

Virgin Valley linebacker Kyler Hughes was named Defensive Player of the Year.

The selections were made by the league’s coaches and published Wednesday morning in the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
