MESQUITE- The Boulder City diamond squads seasons ended Saturday in Mesquite short of their ultimate goal.

The Eagles baseball lost to Churchill County, 5-0, to finish Class 3A state runner-up in the program’s first trip to state since 2006. 

The defending state champion Lady Eagles lost to Elko, 9-5, in the finals of the losers bracket, finishing third.
