Michael Kinsley has said that a gaffe is when a politician inadvertently tells the truth. That’s what Mitt Romney aide Eric Fehrnstrom did on March 21 with his assertion that just because Romney had been pushed to the right in pursuit of the Republican nomination for president did not make him unelectable.
