What I thought was going to be a laid back evening this past weekend became a guilt-plagued, conscience-pulling experience I can’t wait to do again next year, if the Friends of the Arts will let me.
On Saturday I was one of five judges for the BC’s Got Talent show at the library. And yes, cynics, Boulder City has talent. It also has a lot of people with the courage to get up in front of family, friends and strangers to warble, fumble and flub through a routine.
All 26 acts — 17 in the youth category and nine in the adult — brought something unique.
Let me say I have no problem with any of the winners, even if I did score the third-place finishers in the adult category higher than the winners.
