In the 1970s there was a bill someone introduced in the Nevada Legislature that required teaching of capitalism in the state’s schools. I don’t remember if it was enacted — I can’t find such a law in the state’s law books today — but it stood in a long tradition of interest groups using schools to spread their messages.
