Gary Bouchard might be fighting a losing battle, but he seems determined to fight on.

Bouchard, the owner of the recently opened theaters at the Hacienda, asked the city’s library this summer whether it would like to host a children’s film festival.

He provides the projector and movie and the library provides the space, all for free.

The films he’s chosen are based on classic books.
