The first pears of the season are ready to be picked! The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension Orchard, together with the Whole Foods located at Charleston and Rampart and Gilcrease Orchard, will be hosting a pear and apple festival from on August 21 from 9 am to noon in the Whole Foods parking lot. The pears and apples will be freshly picked and feature a delicious early pear called Monterrey as well as Gala apples.
