If you’re a municipality willing to pour a lot of taxpayer money into a museum, the newly opened Mob Museum in Las Vegas is the way to do it.
The $42 million came mostly from the City of Las Vegas, while nearly $9 million came from grants.
I attended a media night Feb. 16 at what is officially called The National Museum of Organized Crime & Law Enforcement. The museum, which is located inside the old post office on Stewart Avenue, is not for the squeamish, or the illiterate.
