Boulder City Review

The bridge will be opened up to the public for a few hours on Oct. 16 to celebrate the completion of the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge.

The event, called “Bridging America” is scheduled to run from 8 a.m to 2 p.m.

The Federal Highway Administration, which oversees the project, has set up a website, www.celebratehooverbridge .com, for event information and where people can register.

The bridge does not open to traffic until November, so visitors on Oct. 16 will be able to walk on the bridge deck, visit information displays and take photographs.
