Boulder City Review
A 46-year-old man died after his airplane crashed in the desert southeast of the Boulder City Airport.
According to Brok Armantrout, the pilot, who was traveling from Phoenix to Henderson, reported his Beechcraft BE35 Bonanza ran out of gas over Lake Mead and clipped a powerline before hitting the ground.
According to Armantrout, the pilot appeared to have died on impact.
“It was very obvious he was dead when we showed up,” Armantrout said.
Armantrout said this was the first deadly plane crash he has seen in his six years working in Boulder City.
