Budd Moyer, publisher of local free advertising magazine “The Shopper,” was arrested Tuesday afternoon on three bad check complaints from the Clark County District Attorney’s office.
Moyer was arrested at 4:16 p.m. outside The Shopper’s offices on Elm Street by Boulder City Police executing warrants for three felony counts of theft and four felony counts of drawing or passing bad checks from the district attorney’s office.
According to the complaints, Moyer wrote 12 bad checks totaling $24,679.87 dating back to late 2007.
According to the district attorney’s office, Moyer is also being held on a fugitive warrant, but the office did not have the details of that warrant.
