<p>Dorothe Letitia Allen Fielding passed away in Boulder City with her family by her side on Jan. 14, 2012. She was born Jan. 18, 1925, in Dallas, Texas, to Isaac Allen and Minnie Lee Jones.</p>
<p>Dorothe married Jack Fielding in Dallas on April 5, 1946. She led a long and interesting life, living 16 years overseas while Jack served in the Air Force. She learned to speak Russian, German, Spanish and Japanese.</p>
<p>Dorothe was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jack; sister, Eliska;  brother, Charles; and daughter-in-law, Cathy. </p>
<p>She is survived by four sons, Chuck (Bonnie), Kelly, Michael and Patrick (Lynn); grandchildren, Deanna, Vanessa, Dylan, Kimberly, Jimmy, Scott, Michelle, Zack and Koah; a number of great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Janet (Kent) and Joyce (Bill). </p>
<p>A service will be held for Jack and Dorothe at the Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City on March 26 at 11:20 a.m. </p>

<p>Judy Kaye Rowland, 67, of Boulder City, passed away on March 13, 2012.</p>
<p>She was born in St. George, Utah, on Oct. 17, 1944, to Henry and Ursula Oxborrow Ramsay. When Judy was 2 years old, the family moved to Boulder City.</p>
<p>She graduated from Boulder City High School in 1962. In 1964 she married Jim Bob Rowland, and during their 35 years of marriage raised two children.</p>
<p>Judy worked for the Clark County District Court as jury commissioner. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed the many callings she had working within the Primary.</p>
<p>Judy loved to travel and was able to tour the world, oftentimes with many of her closest friends. She loved and lived for her family, spoiling and enjoying her children and grandchildren.</p>
<p>She is survived by her children, Tracy James (Christine) Rowland of Green Valley, Nev., and Jill (Barry) Lagan of Boulder City; three grandchildren, Reilly, Alexis and Abbigail, and one grandchild on the way.</p>
<p>Funeral services took place Wednesday, March 21, at 10 a.m., at the 5th Street LDS Chapel in Boulder City. Burial followed the service at the Boulder City Cemetery.</p>

<p>Bernadine Catherine Schneider, 100, passed away on March 15, 2012, in Las Vegas. </p>
<p>She was born on Sept. 10, 1911, in Davenport, Iowa, to Carl George Bruning and Amanda Dora Rehder Bruning. Bernadine graduated from Davenport High School at age 16. </p>
<p>At age 18 she was selected to teach in a county school where she met her future husband. She married Carl Lee Schneider on Dec. 31, 1933.</p>
<p>Bernadine moved to Las Vegas in 1962 and first worked for the atomic energy commission, and then as a stockbroker. She continued her education, receiving a master&#8217;s degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1979 and went on to work as a drug abuse and alcoholism counselor. She was one of the original founders of Safe Nest, a women&#8217;s shelter, and We Care Foundation. </p>
<p>She had a strong faith and was a founding charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in Las Vegas. She worked in real estate and operated two local businesses with her close friends and business partners Don and Margaret McConnell. </p>
<p>She was also a member of Soroptimist International of Greater Las Vegas, which awarded her its Women of Distinction certificate in 1985. She also belonged to the VFW Ladies Auxiliary due to her late husband&#8217;s military service during World War II.</p>
<p>Bernadine finally slowed down a little and moved to Boulder City in 1992.  She celebrated her 100th birthday with family, friends and the wonderful staff at the Lakeview Terrace Senior Living Community in Boulder City. The family would like to thank everyone, especially her lifetime friend and caregiver Joan Arasmith for what can only be described as a celebration of a lifetime.</p>
<p>She is survived by her four sons, Lee Arthur Schneider (Lu), Peter William Schneider (Anita), James G. Schneider (Rose), William T. Schneider; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>A funeral service took place Tuesday, March 20, at noon, at Christ Lutheran Church, 111 Torrey Pines Dr., Las Vegas.  She was laid to rest with her husband on Wednesday, March 21, at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. <p>Lillian Elizabeth (Murphy) Cansdale, beloved mom, friend, teacher and guiding light, passed away on March 11, 2012, in Boulder City.</p>
<p>Lillian was born on Dec. 31, 1926, in Albany, N.Y., to Fred and Lillian (Graves) Murphy. She grew up with her two brothers and two sisters,  and attended Catholic school. </p>
<p>She married Walter Charles Cansdale on June 8, 1943, in Troy, N.Y.  Together they traveled across the country during his training in the Army Air Corps and returned to New York when he was shipped overseas during World War II.</p>
<p>Upon his return from war, they relocated to Southern California where Lillian enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, which included camping, fishing and visiting Las Vegas.</p>
<p>Lillian is survived by two sons, Walter (Betty) Cansdale of Irwin, Penn., and Jerry (Julie) Cansdale of Boulder City; seven grandchildren, Walter, Billy, Jonathan, Daniel, Jennifer, Melissa and Elizabeth; and nine great-grandchildren.</p>
<p>Funeral services will be held at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Thursday, March 15, at noon. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Boulder City Family Mortuary. <p>Dorothy Harris Steele McCollum, 94, of Boulder City, passed away Feb. 23, 2012, with her loved ones at her side. </p>
<p>She was born Dec. 6, 1917, in Pueblo, Colo., to Marion and Harriet Harris.  </p>
<p>She spent her childhood in Coos Bay, Oreg., and Delta, Utah, where she met and married Leroy Steele on April 17, 1936, in the Salt Lake Temple.  </p>
<p>Together they raised seven children, six daughters and one son. In April 1960, the family moved from Delta to Boulder City, where they owned and operated the Frosty Freeze Drive-In from 1960 until Leroy&#8217;s death in 1972. Dorothy then married Alton (Mac) McCollum on Oct. 11, 1976, and they spent their golden years traveling in their fifth-wheel to Idaho for pheasant season and to Pismo Beach during the summer months until Mac&#8217;s death in 1998.</p>
<p>Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Harriet Harris; sister, Vivian Henry; husband, Leroy Steele; and husband, Alton McCollum. She is survived by her children, Billie Rae Rowley, Barbara Dunbar, Karyl Lambert, Karla Steele, Richard (Joanne) Steele, Kaye (Ron) Dent, Kathy (Gary) Amrine; 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great grandchildren.</p>
<p>Visitation will be 11 a.m. at Nickle Mortuary in Delta, Utah, with graveside services immediately following.</p>

<p>Albert &#8220;Al&#8221; Edwin Hall, 94, passed away at The Homestead in Boulder City on February 22, 2012.                     .</p>
<p>Al was born in Ohio on Oct., 24, 1917, to Barkley and Ruth Hall. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. He married Ruth Crowder in 1935.</p>
<p>Al was a Seabee for the Navy in World War II. They moved to Boulder City about 20 years ago from Hermosa Beach, Calif. Al ran an upholstery business and did upholstery for Continental Airlines for ten years. He was a man who liked to buy and sell real estate. He was a jack-of-all-trades who enjoyed repairing houses.</p>
<p>Al was a very adventurous spirit who loved to travel the world. He loved doing the PR work with the delivery drivers for Edie&#8217;s Flowers, then owned by Ron and Phyllis Hall. Al would ride around with the delivery man and visit with all the people.</p>
<p>He is survived by three sons, Ronald (Phyllis) Hall, Steven (Donna) Hall, and Kenneth (Lynn) Hall. He has three grandchildren, David (Andi) Hall, Matthew ( Kristine) Hall and Ali Hall Clarey; and four great-grandchildren, Austin, Daniel, Nathan and Chance. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Hall; two brothers, Fran and Willard; his sister, Buella; and nieces and nephews.</p>
<p>A graveside service was held on Monday, Feb. 27, at the Boulder City Cemetery.  Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Boulder City Family Mortuary. <p>Marcus Benjamin Trujillo Jr., 65, of Boulder City, passed away Feb. 18, with his loving wife by his side and surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Seattle on Nov. 12, 1946, to Marcus Benjamin and Opal (Bates) Trujillo. He married Karen Swanson and they moved to Boulder City from Salt Lake City 31 years ago. </p>
<p>Marcus was proud to be a sergeant in the Marines; he served two combat tours of duty in Vietnam and was a true American patriot.</p>
<p>Marcus was a member of the American Legion in Boulder City and Spring Mountain Free Trappers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, rendezvous and camping. In 1999 he shot a buffalo with his black powder rifle that was the Boone and Crockett record for the year.</p>
<p>Marcus was an avid reader, and read and owned thousands of books. His great love and enjoyment came with playing and teasing his grandbabies. </p>
<p>Marcus is survived by his wonderful wife of 39 years, Karen; 11 children, Marcus (Courtney) Coldren, Marcia (Jeremie) Trujillo, Angelina Trujillo, Antonio Trujillo, Rosanna (Travis) Arrasmith, Daniel Trujillo, Marcus Diego Trujillo, Mercedes Trujillo, Monica Trujillo, Shane Zellow and Cpl. Thomas Leavitt USMC; 11 grandchildren; and a very large extended family. </p>
<p>Funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 27, at 10:40 a.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Marcus Trujillo Memorial Fund 9-71673003 at Boulder Dam Credit Union. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Boulder City Family Mortuary. <p>Irene Marie Foley, 77, passed away on Feb. 16, 2012, at her home in Boulder City after a battle with cancer. She was born on Feb. 11, 1935, in Newton, Kan., to Harry and Christine (Kunellis) Meares. Irene graduated from Dorsey High School in Los Angeles. She married Michael Peter Foley on Oct. 8, 1955.</p>
<p>Her devotion was to her husband and family. She was a true and loyal friend whose warm smile made everyone feel welcome. </p>
<p>After raising her family, Irene became a successful real estate agent for Coldwell Banker in Fallbrook, Calif. In 1998 she joined the $2 Million Club, receiving recognition as a top agent for North San Diego County.</p>
<p>After retiring in 2000, Irene moved with her husband to Boulder City where she was actively involved in the Boulder City Republican Women Association, serving as a member of the board. Irene loved to read and travel. Some of her favorite destinations were Greece, Hawaii and Mexico.</p>
<p>Irene is survived by her husband, Michael Foley; and family, including Tim and Cindy Foley, Mark and Ruth Foley, Cathy and Dirk Wietstock, Christy and Ed Kjaer; her brother, George Meares; and eight grandchildren. </p>
<p>The family will hold private services.
