Claudia Suann Clark, June 17,1935 – May 12, 2011

Claudia Suann Clark, 75, of Boulder City, passed away May 12, 2011, in Boulder City. Claudia was born on June 17, 1935, in California to Paul and Thelma Larsen Clark. She was an avid golfer, and as a teenager was on the women’s professional circuit. This love for golf stayed with her all her life. She was a member of the Women’s Golf Association at the Boulder City Golf Course and spent most of her free time golfing.

She worked for Safeway for 35 years as a meat cutter before retiring and moving to Las Vegas. Claudia moved to Boulder City in 1990. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Claudia desired no formal services and will be greatly missed by her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Thelma Clark; and a brother, Barry Clark.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Boulder City Family Mortuary.

Thomas R. Gilmore, Aug. 26, 1947 – May 15, 2011

Thomas R. Gilmore, 63, passed away at his home in Boulder City on May 15, 2011. Tom was born on Aug. 26, 1947, in Santa Monica, Calif., to Floyd and Viola Seres Gilmore.

Tom joined the U.S. Army after high school and served his country during the Vietnam War and became a sergeant. After his four-year military service he worked in the pineapple industry in Hawaii.

In 2007, Tom moved to Boulder City to be closer to his brother and his nieces whom he loved. Tom loved dirt biking and professional canoe ocean racing. He was known by all that knew him as a kind and gentle soul that would give anything to anyone in need.

Tom is survived by his brother, Russell (JoAnne) Gilmore; niece, Tiffany (Bob) Martin; their son, Owen, and niece, Krista Gilmore. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 2, at 10 a.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Boulder City Family Mortuary.
