Gun Club sign hearing postponed

Boulder City Review

The hearing on the Pro Gun Club sign facing Boulder City has been moved to Wednesday, May 2, at 9 a.m. at the request of one of the county commissioners.

The April 18 hearing was postponed because Clark County Commissioner Mary Beth Scow, who represents the area around Boulder City, was going to miss the meeting for personal reasons.

This is the second time the hearing before the commissioners has been moved. It was originally scheduled to be heard April 4.

The commissioners are going to hear an appeal of a March 6 decision by the county’s Planning Commission to grant the property’s owners a waiver for the large painted sign that is on a hill facing Boulder City.

Continuances are not unusual. The original hearing before the planning commission was originally scheduled for September before it was continued repeatedly until the March hearing.

Whenever there is a hearing, it will be at 500 S. Grand Central Parkway in downtown Las Vegas.
