Boulder City Review
The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for Boulder City, Lake Mead Recreation Area, Hoover Dam and the Las Vegas Valley region until 8 p.m. tonight.
The high temperature for the afternoon in Boulder City is expected to be 11o degrees. Temperatures are expected to exceed 106 degrees through Wednesday.
Temperatures across the recreation area are expected to range from 111 degrees to 114 degrees today, 109 degrees to 112 degrees on Saturday, and around 110 degrees on Sunday.
The National Weather Service also issued a hazardous weather outlook for Boulder City and Lake Mead this weekend with isolated thunderstorms expected with strong wind gust.
The National Weather Service advises people to take extra precautions if they go outside in order to prevent heat exhaustion or heat stroke. Those working outside should take rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned areas and should drink plenty of water.
