Last Thursday afternoon I attended a meeting at the Boulder Inn and Suites with three members of the Mongols Motorcycle Club, one of whom was the Southern Nevada chapter president. Also present at the meeting was their attorney Stephen Stubbs, three of my officers, City Manager Vicki Mayes, the owners of the hotel and Boulder City Review reporter Jack Johnson.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the upcoming Mongols annual meeting event, which will be held at the hotel the weekend of June 22-24. We discussed how many Mongols and their families and friends were expected to attend, what they were planning on doing throughout the weekend, and what their members were told by their leadership they could and could not do.
